AGC-GM advocates at the federal, state, and local levels to ensure a competitive, pro-construction environment in Southeastern Wisconsin.We represent contractor interests where policy decisions are made and where industry impact is determined.

Federal Advocacy

Through coordination with the Associated General Contractors of America, AGC-GM supports national policy initiatives that affect:

  • Infrastructure investment
  • Workforce funding
  • Apprenticeship policy
  • Labor regulations
  • Tax and procurement policy

We ensure regional contractor perspectives are represented in national discussions.

State-Level Engagement

AGC-GM partners with AGC of Wisconsin and Wimmer & Co., a Madison-based Wisconsin governmental affairs firm,to advocate at the Wisconsin State Capitol on issues including:

  • Workforce development funding
  • Apprenticeship policy
  • Environmental and regulatory policy
  • Transportation and infrastructure investment
  • Business climate issuesimpacting contractors

We monitor legislation, engage policymakers, and communicate directly with members on emerging issues.

Local Government Coordination

At the municipal and county levels, AGC-GM works to promote:

  • Fair and open bidding practices
  • Efficient permitting and inspection processes
  • Competitive project environments
  • Public-private collaboration
